What We Handle

Professional Process Serving — With Affidavit

Process serving requires more than showing up at an address. A licensed PI brings investigative capability where standard couriers can't follow.

Full-Service

Evasive Defendant Service

When a defendant has been tipped off or is actively avoiding service, a licensed PI can apply skip tracing to locate their current address and surveillance to confirm their presence before attending. Every evasion attempt is documented — creating a paper trail for substituted service applications if required.

  • Skip tracing to locate current address
  • Surveillance to confirm presence
  • Multiple service attempts documented
  • Evasion documented for court
  • Substituted service affidavit support
  • Sworn affidavit on successful service

The Process

How Process Serving Works

From submitting the documents to a sworn affidavit of service in your hands — here's what to expect.

01

Submit Documents

Provide the documents to be served, the defendant's last known details, any deadline requirements, and the jurisdiction. We confirm the scope and quote upfront.

02

Address Verification

We verify the defendant's current address before attending — reducing failed attempts. Where the address is stale or the defendant is known to be evasive, skip tracing is applied first.

03

Personal Service

Personal service attempted at the confirmed address. For evasive defendants, we apply surveillance to confirm presence before attending — and document any evasion for court use.

04

Affidavit of Service

A sworn affidavit of service provided promptly on completion — recording the date, time, location, method, and physical description of service. Suitable for immediate court filing.

Common Questions

Process Serving FAQ

01 What documents can you serve?
All legal process — statements of claim, originating applications, subpoenas, family law documents, DVO applications, QCAT applications, default judgments, bankruptcy notices, and any other documents requiring personal service under court rules.
02 What if the defendant is avoiding service?
If the defendant has been tipped off or is actively avoiding service, we apply skip tracing to locate their current address and surveillance to confirm their presence before attending. We document all evasion attempts — this documentation can be used to support a substituted service application if personal service proves impossible.
03 What if the address provided turns out to be wrong?
We verify the address before attending where possible. If initial service fails because the address is stale or incorrect, we apply skip tracing to locate the current address — this is included in our service or quoted separately depending on the complexity.
04 What does the affidavit of service include?
Our sworn affidavit of service records: the date, time, and location of service; a physical description of the person served; the method of service; the documents served; and the investigator's sworn declaration. It is formatted for court filing in Queensland and Federal proceedings.
05 How quickly can you serve documents?
Standard turnaround is 1–3 business days after receiving the documents and a confirmed address. For urgent applications — particularly time-critical interlocutory applications — call us to discuss same-day or next-day service options.
06 Can you serve documents outside Queensland?
Interstate service is available by arrangement through our partner network. Contact us with the specifics — jurisdiction, document type, and urgency — and we will advise on coverage and cost.
